Help Us Give Stevie Claire the Intense Therapy She Needs

⭐️ Help Us Give Stevie Claire the Therapy She Desperately Needs ⭐️
We’ve created this GoFundMe to help give our 13 month old daughter, Stevie Claire, the life-changing therapy she needs after suffering a metabolic stroke due to a rare genetic condition.
Stevie has been accepted into a 3-week intensive therapy program at the NAPA Center in Austin, starting July 7. This world-renowned program includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy! This therapy is specifically designed for children with neurological injuries and it has the potential to drastically improve her quality of life.
Unfortunately, we’ve exhausted our insurance-covered therapy sessions for the year, and it will be 100% out-of-pocket. We are still waiting to hear if Stevie will be approved for any long-term disability benefits or support services, with nothing approved yet.
If you’re able to donate, your support will go directly toward: The full cost of NAPA’s intensive therapy program and travel and lodging for our time in Austin.
Stevie’s Story
Stevie was diagnosed with a very rare metabolic disorder called beta-ketothiolase deficiency (BKT) just days after birth. There are only 14 known cases in the U.S. Her body can’t properly process certain proteins and ketones, and she can’t go long periods without eating, meaning she’s at constant risk for life-threatening metabolic crises. My husband and I were both unknowingly carriers, and Stevie was the 1 in 4 chance we never saw coming.
Stevie thrived for her first six month of life but everything changed in October 2024. After a minor illness, she began to regress. She lost the ability to sit up, became floppy and weak, and developed constant, involuntary movements. An MRI revealed that Stevie had suffered a silent metabolic stroke, damaging parts of her brain that control movement. She now has chorea and dyskinetic cerebral palsy.
Today, Stevie is unable to sit up, crawl, or walk. She requires a feeding tube for nutrition, constant therapy, and round-the-clock monitoring to prevent metabolic crises. She is cognitively sharp and continues to light up every room with her spirit but physically, her journey is just beginning. The stroke also impacted her speech and feeding abilities. She has a G-tube to ensure she receives nutrition safely, and she’s working through delays in speech and communication. She now attends therapy three times a week, working hard to build skills.
She has already spent more time in hospitals, clinics, and therapy rooms than many people do in a lifetime. But through it all, her spirit remains unshaken.
From the Bottom of Our Hearts
We are so incredibly grateful to those who have prayed for us, reached out, donated, and walked alongside us during this difficult season. Your love and kindness have carried us through some of our darkest days.
If you’re able to give, know that you’re giving Stevie the chance to grow stronger, build her skills, and keep moving forward. And if you can’t donate right now, we completely understand, please pray for our baby girl or consider sharing this page. It truly means more than you know.
Thank you for loving our girl and believing in her fight.
With endless love and gratitude,
